HighVis need men.

Next Wave artists Jess Daly, Matthew Kneale, Dan Koerner and Zoe Meagher are looking for men with a non-arts background to take part in a sewing workshop at Craft Victoria.

The workshops will use the construction of a high visibility work vest as a framework to teach basic sewing skills and give participants the confidence to adapt, repair and construct their own clothing. Participants will be able to keep their finished vest, which, in addition to its obvious use at a construction site, can also be worn as a stylish cycling vest. Noice.

These workshops are part of a larger project designed to help the artists prepare for their 2010 Next Wave Festival project, titled HighVis.

Men of all types are invited to attend one of the following workshops
Workshop 1: Saturday 28 November, 2009, 11am to 1pm and 1:45 to 5pm
Workshop 2: Saturday 5 December, 2009, 11am to 1pm and 1:45 to 5pm
Workshop 3-6: Dates to be confirmed
